How LiFiMAX® works

Oledcomm’s pioneering suite designed to revolutionize wireless communication, LiFiMAX®, comprises of 4 key products:

LiFiMAX® Access Point

The LiFiMAX® Access Point enables a secure connection for user devices. The data received by a router is transmitted to the LiFi access point, which in turn transmits it to nearby antennas as light signals.

Photonic Antenna

The photonic antenna is positioned to broadcast data-carrying LiFi signals in the internet coverage area. Each antenna supports up to 16 user devices per Access Point, ensuring expansive coverage

Dongle Receiver

The Dongle Receiver is a LiFiMAX® receiver that picks up light signals in the environment and converts it into electrical information that can be interpreted by computers.

Tablet

The tablet is another LiFiMAX® receiver redefining the user experience for safe and effective communication with the Photonic Antenna.

Oledcomm products are installed with precision to promote seamless connectivity throughout their zone of coverage. There are 2 ways to ensure efficient and homogenous LiFi coverage:

  • Dynamic handover: The bandwidth is divided automatically according to users’ needs.
  • Static handover: the flow is divided between the AP (e.g.: 215/2 = approx. 107,5 Mbps per AP OR 215/3 = approx. 72 Mbps per AP). This option allows a faster reconnection time, approx. 2-3 seconds.

This synchronization allows for dynamic or static handover, where the LiFi bandwidth is automatically or manually divided according to user needs. Additionally, LiFi installation is simpler and quicker compared to traditional networks, as it eliminates the need for heavy wiring and cable installations. This ease of installation saves time and effort during the setup process.
